Awards Winners’ Circle Salute

Award Descriptions:

In 2006, the following three Literary Leaders Awards were presented for the first time during the Essence of Motown Writers Conference.  The Powerful Prolific Pioneer Award was presented in honor of historic or contemporary role model/company or organization actively involved with practicing/ advocating professional writing-related careers and the process of mentoring others.   Significant Scribe Supporter Award was presented to a contemporary role model/company or organization actively involved with practicing/advocating professional writing-related careers and the process of mentoring others.  Creative Writing Artistic Commemorator Award was designated for nominee who showed an appreciation for the field of writing through single work of art or project.

 In 2007, the Volunteer of the Year Award was launched during the Essence of Motown Writers Conference. NIRMM would not be possible without the creativity, generosity and assistance of enthusiastic volunteers. It will be an ongoing practice to let them know how much they are appreciated for everything they do.

Creative Writing Artistic Commemorator Award – Children’s Museum 2nd Saturdays on 2nd Series

Volunteer of the Year – Sylvia Hubbard, NIRMM Web Site Designer/Manager
