Discover a new inspirational favorite among artists and musicians with ties to metropolitan Detroit. The exhibit kicks off activities for 2014 National Inspirational Role Models Month (NIRMM) annual November celebration with “Celebrating Arts, Literature and Music — and its Creators” theme. EVENT: FAMILY FUN & LITERACY INNOVATIONS DAY

EXTRA SPECIAL SALUTE
Everyone is encouraged to participate in a day of fun highlighting literacy innovations. It provides a great opportunity to spend quality time celebrating and encouraging the joy of being a reader. People of all ages are encourage to join in the celebration. In keeping with tradition, NIRMM Originator Darlene House will host a NIRMM Salute event in the Metropolitan Detroit, Michigan area. Mark your calendar for Family Fun & Literacy Innovations Day celebration featuring Author/Media Specialist Gwendolyn Lewis. The event includes fun activities, prize giveaways and light refreshments. Check back for additional information as some exciting plans are currently being considered for implementation.
Free event will be held on Saturday, November 23, 2013 from 3 – 5 p.m. at Detroit Public Library – Redford Branch, 21200 Grand River, Detroit, Michigan. Call 313.778.1550 for additional information or to pre register. The first 50 people to register, will be eligible for a special gift
